FYI Beacon is your connection to a variety of hyper-local content, promotions, and interactivity. When FYI detects the presence of a beacon it will provide a notification with the option to view more information related to that beacon.

What is a beacon? Beacons are tiny Bluetooth based radio devices which emit a unique signal. When placed strategically throughout a retail environment, for example, they can be used to tailor unique experiences for customers. Beacons can be used to notify customers of current in-store specials, provide movie goers with start times and trailers, and countless other possibilities!

FYI is designed to be non-intrusive and simply waits in the background for a nearby beacon to be detected. Its important to note that battery use is conserved by enabling radio only when in the vicinity of a beacon.
